NDA Exam 2027 – Official Information
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA) twice a year for entry into the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy (Khadakwasla, Pune) and the Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala, Kerala). Both male and female unmarried candidates are eligible.
Selection Process: Written Examination → SSB Interview → Medical Examination → Final Merit List.

- Citizen of India, or
- Subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Person of Indian origin from specified countries with intention to settle permanently in India.
Age Limit (Expected)
Exam Date of Birth Range (Both Dates Inclusive) NDA 1 2027 2 July 2008 to 1 July 2011 NDA 2 2027 2 January 2009 to 1 January 2012 - Age: 16½ to 19½ years
- No age relaxation for any category
- Candidates must remain unmarried throughout the training period
Educational Qualification
- Army Wing: 12th Class pass or appearing (any stream)
- Navy, Air Force & Naval Academy: 12th Class pass or appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Candidates appearing in Class 12 are eligible (proof must be submitted later)
Physical & Medical Standards
Candidates must meet the prescribed height, weight, vision, and medical standards. Details will be available in Appendix of the official notification
NDA Exam Application Process 2027
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on upsconline.nic.in
- Fill the Common Application Form + NDA-specific module
- Upload photograph, signature, and photo ID
- Pay the application fee (if applicable)
- Submit the form
Application Fee: ₹100
(Exempted for SC/ST candidates, Female candidates, and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs)
NDA Exam Pattern 2027 (Written Exam – 900 Marks)

NDA Syllabus 2027 (Brief Overview)
Mathematics: Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential & Integral Calculus, Vector Algebra, Statistics & Probability.
General Ability Test (GAT):
- English (200 marks) – Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension
- General Knowledge (400 marks) – Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, Current Affairs
