AFCAT, or the Air Force Common Admission Test, is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air Force. The eligibility criteria for the AFCAT exam are as follows:

  • Nationality: Indian
  • Age:
    • For Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years
    • For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Flying Branch: Graduation (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent. Candidates must have passed Math and Physics at 10+2 level.
    • Ground Duty (Technical): Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics or Mechanical) degree from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent.
    • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Marital Status: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried.
